Does anyone know of any excercises that will tone up the arms and back? I'm concerned that my arms are flabby , and just want to tighten them up. Also is anyone else concerned about the.... fat back? Or is just me?

Re: Excercises
Tricep dips work the upper arms great. You don't even need equipment, just a sturdy chair.
Stand in front of the chair like you are going to sit. Instead of sitting squat down so that your palms are on the chair while your knees are bent. Dip yourself up and down 15x for 3 reps. Your own body weight is a great source to use!

weights but no more than 5 pounds, either get 3 or 5 pounds. Theres a channel called exercise on demand and it has TONS of exercises and many that target just the arms, i recommend tammy lynn webb. It can be a bit hard but she really gives you a work out. But also do other ones to change it up a bit. I also do push ups with my pilates ball. Also pilates is amazing to tone up, the arm exercises usually also involve weights.
Push ups, dips on the back of a chair are great, and many of the weights exercises are good too. Also boxing is amazing, theres also boxing exercises on exercise on demand and also kick boxing.

Thanks for the advice. I can only do the arm excercises right now because I am in a cast, I tore a ligament in my foot (only 4 1/2 months till the wedding). It ***** because I just bought a dvd for a hip hop workout. I figured I could learn how to dance and tone up. It was a good concept.:

There are lots you can do then. I would check out www.sparkpeople.com and check out the arm, ab and back workouts they have. It's a free diet website you can join, but they also give good tips and demos for exercise and most of them you don't need any equipment including dumbbells.

i would just go to the channel, play all the ones that target arms and just watch it first. Then figure out which exercises you can do, maybe even take a few from all the workouts

you cant go wrong w/push ups, especially if you dont have any weights to work with. also if yo stand about 2 feet away from a wall, put your hands in front of you and fall forward into the wall and then push yourself away this is great for the back of your arms!
