excited to send out invites, but....

i'm really afraid that most of our friends are going to RSVP 'no'

i know we will at least have the bridal party and another couple who blocked their hotel room, but 1) we have a lot of the same friends since we met at the beginning of college, and 2) a lot of our friends are OOT. Add those factors to the normal no % and I'm not expecting many to come. i do have some friends in NY (from HS) but not very many

We have a big guest list because my dad has a huge family and my parents invited a lot of their friends, but my biggest fear is that we will barely have any of our own friends there.

As excited as I am to send out invites im really worrying about this.

Hey it is a summer wedding on long island. I am sure a lot of un-expected people will come!

i hope so... we sent STDs but i just found out yesterday that 2 people i were hoping might make the trip cant... one friend will still be in Asia for her post-bar trip, and my study buddy's lease ends Aug 15th and I think he's going to be moving into his new place

Try not to stress - send out the beautiful invitations you chose and then post on here as they come in - be excited - you'll be surprised at how many people will show up

we went to a shower in whitestone or somewhere around there for FH cousin we really don't know. It was like a 1 1/2 hr drive. It is a big event and people will travel.

All of our friends are OOT also, and virtually all of them are coming! the only ones who aren't able to come are actually coming to the ceremony and then leaving, b/c my friend's FH's sister is graduating from HS the next day and they have to drive back to Maine....you may be surprised!!!
