exciting news! AND shower supersleuth... what do you think?
I'm SO excited - my invitations are finally done and ready, and the envelopes are done, so hopefully these babies will be mailed out by Friday! Finally!
Secondly... I'm starting to get an inkling that perhaps somebody is planning a shower for me coming up soon. A few comments here and there planted the idea in my head, and then today I was at my parents' house, taking advantage of their air conditioning, when a package arrived from Bed Bath and Beyond (I was living there when I set up the registry, so that's the mailing address they have) containing a gift for me (a place setting of my fine china - it's gorgeous!). Now, why on earth would I be getting a gift two months before the wedding, especially when the invitations haven't even gone out yet? And from somebody who already gave us a gift at our engagement party, so it's not a late engagement gift or something.
I looked on my registry, and there's one other gift gone that wasn't before... so if it were this weekend, it would probably be more than that... besides, this weekend my mother is supposed to be going out of town, so that wouldn't make sense...
Ack! This is driving me mad! It's not that I don't like surprises... I've just had a pretty crazy stressful summer, and having my shower is pretty much exactly what I think I need to help me feel a little bit more positive and be looking forward to the wedding, instead of just stressed out.
