Exciting stuff!

OK, for those of you who don't know, I work in Radio.

Tomorrow (Sunday 5/30), I will be doing my VERY FIRST ON-AIR SHIFT!

What that means is: instead of just playing the music and never saying anything, I get to turn on the mic and actually announce what I've been playing, what I will play, etc etc. I've been working for this for the last year and a half, and it's finally coming true.

W00T!

So, here's the information. PrincessRose will be ON THE AIR on 107.1 (WLIR, The Box - it's kind of Alternative music).

Sunday: 1pm-7pm
Monday:12pm-3pm

OK, there you go. You can only get this station out on the EAST END, but if you're out there this weekend, and the thought crosses your mind, try to tune in to one of your LIW Girls!

With any luck, I won't mess up!

Congratulations!! I used to date a DJ so I know what a huge deal getting on air can be. Those computers they used for the music were so confusing to me. Good luck!

Actually, we don't use computers where I work - at least not yet. We're switching over to them in the next few weeks. Right now, however, we're still using CDs.

I think it went relatively well - did any of you happen to hear it?

There were definitely moments where I messed up, but nothing that could be REALLY bad, I think.

we were out in suffolk today and i switched it on, but it wasn't very clear, so i had to turn it off.....but i thought of you!

I briefly heard you today and you sounded great! I would expect a tiny voice out of that innocent face, but you have an awesome radio voice!!!!!!!!!

I don't even live on LI, let alone the east end, but I wish I could have heard you ( and some alternative music, I'ts hard to come by on the radio these days. . .)
