Exercise!!!

Anyone out there interested in joining me for some brisk walking to get some exercise? With 38 days to go, I am feeling a little unfit and thought maybe I would get more motivated to exercise with some brides to be. Please let me know!!

I don't know the South Shore that well but is Bethpage State Park far from either of you? I work in N. Hyde Park and live in Commack. Do you know of anywhere else if that doesn't work. I am quite willing to go anywhere (within reason) for some company!

Deer Park??

So maybe somewhere in the Deer Park area? If you think this will work, I will go over there this weekend and scout out locations, unless someone has a recommendation.

That works for me. We will need to know exactly where to meet so if anyone knows a good place specifically that is easy to find, that would help. Now we need a day and time. Do evenings work for anyone? Maybe 6:30 or so.

Any evening except Wednesdays are good for me. Anytime after 6. The best (and cheapest) way of meeting (I think) is if we all park on August Road and meet at the entrance. I can give directions if anyone needs it. We dont have to pay to get in and we can take the trail right from there in. Its right past the Somerset Village Apartments if you know them. Actually, we can park in there and walk like 20 feet to the entrance too..

Sounds good to me...I just have to be out of there by 7:30 because we have our final meeting with the couple who is marrying us at 8:30. Directions for anyone who needs them. Unless there is a better place to meet this is where I go in- Take Southern State Parkway to exit 39N That is Deer Park Ave, when you get on DPA, get all the way over to the left lane right away- you need to make the first left (its at the light). That is August Road. If you cant get over, no biggie, just go a bit further down until you can do a u-turn then make a right onto August Road. Take August Road down 3 stop signs. Park around there. Right between the 2nd and 3rd stop sign you will see Somerset Village Apartments on your right. Either park in the street by the 3rd stop sign or the SVA parking lot closest to the 3rd sign. There is not usually alot of cars there so its perfect. Across from the stop sign there is an entrance to the park. If your coming from Northern State or LIE just take Deer Park Ave South until you see 'Blockbuster' and 'Bennigans' on your right- just before the Southern State. Make the right onto August. Lie is about 6 miles from August Rd, Northern just a bit farther. How about we all meet there?

I have 10 more months to go, but all my friends are single and don't like hearing about this stuff! I live in NHP, my FH lives in Mineola. If anyone is interested in an evening stroll occasionally, that would be pleasant company!
