Expedia Vs Travelocity

FH and I arent taking a honeymoon any time soon after our wedding next month. but we would like to go to las vegas for a few days in sept. has anyone used expedia or travelocity for vacations ? if so what was your expererience and do you recommend them. thanks so much ladies.

I used Expedia when we traveled to FL last year. It was super easy. I researched both and got a better price with them. Paid, printed my iteniary and got on the plane.

i went to vegas last dec and we used expedia. we had no problems with it......we booked a package - hotel and flight together.

i used expedia to book a package for hawaii in 2006 and i didn't have any problems with that either.

i haven't used travelocity, only expedia and orbitz.

We've used expedia 2 times with ease...never used travelosity

I just wrote a realy long answer and then it said you have to be logged in, which i was, and now i am Pissed!

Long story short,
after getting pricing check the airline and hotels websites and make sure you are getting a deal

and check google for coupon codes there is always a coupon you can use.

i've heard horror stories from travelocity customer service (if you need to use it) and I also heard southwest vacations is good for vegas if you live near Islip airport.

I've only used orbitz and had no problem. Plus, they have promo codes so we have gotten our hotels for super cheap.

I always use Kayak to search for the cheapest prices for the airfare. For hotels I swear by priceline.com. I use the site biddingfortravel.com
In which it is a blog which people post what hotel rooms they won and how much they spent.

I have booked flights with Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity. I have never booked a package. With Orbitz they have the price assurance guarantee which means if you book with them for a certain price and then another person books your same itinerary for a lesser price you get the difference. This may be hard to do if you are booking a hotel/flight package. I also agree with another poster that you should look at the prices of flights and hotels on those sites but then go to the acutal carrier or hotel webiste to compare prices. Sometimes the actual website is cheaper and DEF search for coupon codes. In google type in whatever hotel or airline you would like to use followed by coupon code and a whole bunch of stuff will come up. I do this all the time...especially when I am shopping online. you should try emailing or going to a travel agent. Liberty travel price beats so you will get the best price compared to any other website. Let me know and I can get you someones email address (i just got laid off from liberty but i still talk to everyone)

i've used both and we had no problems. Sometimes one company would give a little more for the money so I would check out both packages and compare.

Try airtran! They are MUCH less expensive that either expedia or travelocity. (but if I had to choose between them both, id say expedia)

I've used Expedia and Travelocity. I love them both. They are super easy to use. And Vegas could not be easier. You don't need a travel agent. I've been to Vegas four times, so FM me if you have any questions.

Before you book with either Expedia or Travelocity go onto smartervegas.com. On that website you will see all the specials that the hotels are promoting. Then when you see a promotion you like call the hotel directly and book for the promotion. By booking hotel and air separately you are able to keep checking the hotels website and everytime you see the prices go down for the time you will be there you can call the hotel and they will change your reservation to the cheaper price. I have done this many times and it turns out to be a really good deal.
