I always use the cheap hair brushes, but some of my friends swear by the $150 ones made with real horse hair or something. Have you tried those? Are they really worth it?

I've tried the really expensive ones ----
IMO a $30 natural bristle ceramic plated brush from Ulta works just as well in my hair.

ditto, the natural bristles are supposed to help distribute your natural oils thru your hair and get your cuticle layer to lay flat.

They are wroth it. I don't have a $150 one but I do have one that was like $30 and very worth it. MY MIL has tried to steal it many tinmes...but when she's around I hide it from her.

unless it balances your checkbook, mops the floor and tells you you're fabulous everytime you pick it up, it's not worth it...
I get the cheesy paddle brushes from CVS and don't think twice.

I was debating on a Mason Pearson for a while and asked the same question on here a while ago. Some people say yes, some say no.

I think it also depends on how managable your hair is.
