My mother does not havea huge family we are extreemly close with her siblings and my first cousins, my mother only has one aunt still alive and has 3 cousins whom she rarely ever see's they don't live in NY and maybe speaks to them by writing a letter. My Grandma still speaks to them often. Well we are paying for most of the wedding although my parents are giving us a generous amount and helping out a great deal, one of her cousin's has 3 children I have met ONCE. I have no issue inviting my mom's cousins but she wnats me to ivnite the children who are above the age of 13 so will count as adults. She feels bad not inviting them but that is a lot of money right there for 3 people I don't really know. What would you do ??

Re: Extended family....
Maybe you parents could pay for them?
I had a similar issue. Although, I was close to my dad's cousin's children when I was younger, in the past 10 years we have really lost touch and if we invited them it would be an additional 14 people. That is A LOT of money. After much discussion my parents understood my dilemma and told me they would pay for them if we went over the 140 number we had budgeted for.

Re: Extended family....
I don't know what to do I mentioned them paying for their kids f they do decide to rbing them but my parents are giving us a lump usm and that's that and we put it towards whatever we need, what to do! Thanks for the help.
I kind of just feel like I would not be offended in the leats if I were not invited so why do I have to ?
