I read about this great credit card referral service where you can earn $50 for each person you refer to open a credit card. I need all the extra money I can get! This wedding is bankrupting us.
Any other girls looking for ways to make extra money to pay for the wedding? What are you doing????

Re: Extra Income
Since the holidays are right around the corner, alot of dept. stores will be looking for seasonal workers. I am seriously thinking about applying for a second job.

Re: Extra Income
Retail sounds like a good idea. I know someone who was making more during her seasonal job selling shoes at Nordstrom than her fulltime teaching job!

I was just going to say....waitressing or bartending, whenever you have spare time. Weekends are great money! I am actually looking for a second waitressing job, the one I work at right now is getting slow for the holidays. During the holidays its better to work around department stores or the mall. I might check out the cheesecake factory. Good luck...Its amazing how expensive everything is...I almost had a mini panick attack haha

After working 5 years in retail, I can say no amount of money or any discount is worth working retail during the holidays! The stress is insane!

Re: Extra Income
I do Passion Parties on the weekend! I work full time during the week, and it's great that I can do these in my spare time.
So far I've made enough to pay for my DJ, lasik, and most of my hall! Plus, I get to meet tons of other brides to bounce ideas off of. I love it. FM if you want more info.

Re: Extra Income
To be honest, I don't think we are really going to need an extra income. We are doing pretty good with saving. However, we did get a huge boost from the engagement party and a bonus I got. The company was sold and I was paid a bonus to stay through a transition period. If it wasn't for those 2 things, I'd be freaking out right now.

I know the e-party helped alot.
We put all the wedding money in an online hsbc acount that gives 5.05% interest. It has been a big help. We have been saving for a while. Maybe 6 months before we got engaged and I can say the wedding is pretty much paid for except maybe $5K which will be no problem by April. The online account has probably already paid for 5 dinners at the reception hall.
