Eye Brow weaving???

Eye Brow weaving???

Does anyone know anything about this, or has had it done?? I was thinking about doing it since I've tweezed the top of my brows for to long so I will never have a natural arch again.

i get my eyebrows threaded. its painful but worth it!! I get it done at my hair salon, DI Rosa on Hempstead Tpke in Franklin Square. They have this girl their, Sarah, that does it and people come from all over just to have it done. Not many places have it!!

This is coming from a hairy gal who has been removing hair since I was 13 and who daily obsesses about her eyebrows:

It's fantastic, and has been around forever in India. It's actually the method of hair removal that is now most reccomended by Dermatologists for people with acne and sensitive skin, becasue it doesn't rip off a layer of skin like waxing does. It's esentially, very fast, and slightly less painful plucking.

I have waxed and plucked for years, and I have to be honest, I will never go back after discovering threading. The unbelievable precision that theey are able to obtain is amazing - they literally can snag a very thin line of hairs in like, 2 seconds. The shape of my eyebrows has never been better (I get random compliments from strangers!)

It doesn't hurt any more than plucking or waxing, and the redness and swelling are much less. Plus - I pay $7 to have my eyebrows done in Manhattan. In a city where some upscale salons actually charge $40 for 'eyebrow shaping' and don't do a good job, this STEAL makes me so happy.

At least try it - i guarantee you will be hooked.

I've gotten my eyebrows threaded (just once) and personally, I will NEVER do it again! I found it to be incredibly painful- I had tears in my eyes. But everyone's different, my friend does it all the time and it doesn't bother her at all. Plus its cheaper than waxing!

I found that it's a lot LESS painful than waxing. I would do it again. I did it for my wedding, but I get lazy and cheap, and just tweeze now.

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for several years now and will NEVER go back to waxing. It hurts but your eyebrows are shaped better and almost look as if they are painted, they come out so perfect...I LOVE it.

I go to this placed in Howard Beach to get it done, Angela's on Cross Bay Blvd. They charge me $6 and I go every two weeks sometimes every 3 weeks...I think it lasts a lot longer than when I used to get them waxed.

You should try it, once you start you'll never go back to tweezing or waxing.

Same here!!! Not only was I tearing, I looked like I had just been taken down by a TKO in the ring!!!!

(And I had it done on 74th Street in Jackson Hts - very authentic, so it wasn't that the person didn't know what they were doing)

I get this done all the time but the place I go to is expensive. I am looking for a place in Suffolk that's affordable. I pay $27 for lip and eyes.

I had this done a few times. I'll agree that it makes your eyebrows look great! It is a little painful at first, slightly more than waxing, but not too bad. I might have kept doing it but the person I went to left the salon and they didn't get a replacement for her.
