Re: Eyebrow Threading?
Your skin will be fine. No worse than waxing. Although I teared up during the threading and not usually during waxing. I've only had it done once and it doesn't last as long as waxing...IMO.

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
I have sensitive skin especially by my eyebrows....I used to always get mine waxed and just deal with my red eyebrows...apply ice packs when I got home until red went down.
I recently started doing the eyebrow threading....was a bit hesistant at first but now LOVE it.
It does not hurt and doesnt leave me red for hours.

for me, it hurt a little bit more than waxing... or maybe it didnt hurt more per se, but its not one quick painful movement like waxing is. As far as skin irritation, i had none from threading and i look like i got punched in the eyes from waxing, so thats that!

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
its better than waxing I been told, waxing like pulls on your skin and over time supposedly will add to the wrinkles you get ??? I been threading for 5 years now I love it fm if you want me to give you the name of the place i go to

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
Ive always done waxing and would end up breaking out a couple of days later from it...i tried all different kinds wax' at different salons, and tried threading one day and LOVE IT! Its cleaner...no left over wax, its more sanitary (who knows where the stick was before it was on your eyelids...sorry) Just make sure you ask them to use a new piece of thread before starting if they dont do it on their own. I highly recommend it!

I love threading! It lasts longer than waxing. They say that you need to be careful of waxing because it pulls the skin around your eyes causing that skin to loosen and wrinkle... Reshma on Francis Lewis Blvd is the best!!!

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
I did threading for the first time last month. I found the shape was better, it hurt more while being done but less over the course of the evening (none of the lingering pain waxing leaves) and my brows only looked red for about an hour and not as red as they got waxing.
But it only lasted about two week before hairs started coming in a lot, where waxing usually lasts me two months.

I totally agree. I feel like with threading I can feel every single hair they pull out of my face!
Anyway, I go to Sharifa on 63rd Drive in Rego Park. I used to go here in the city but they kept making my brows uneven so I love Sharifa now!

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
I like threading better then waxing. it still hurts but since my skin is sensitive i get much less of a reaction from it. ALso I feel like threading is a lot more sanitary then waxing, JMO. If you nervous bc of the bpics then you can always got to your usual place this time and then try threading next time.

Re: Eyebrow Threading?
I personally like threading. And to me, it barely hurts. It's not much worse than tweezing, just doing lots of hairs at once! It's better for your skin b/c it doesn't pull the top layer of your skin off. Plus, threading allows for a better/more exact shape than waxing.
I think it's def worth a try. I'd go about 4 days beforehand for best results.

Totally agree! I'm not sure what I should do before my wedding. Wax so it lasts thru honeymoon or threading and deal with the hairs growing in.
