ok so i have never had my brows waxed..i do them myself..i dont look like groucho marx lol..but i want to have them waxed for the big day..so how long b4 do ii go? i have no idea lol

Well personally I'd start a while before just so you can get the shape going that you want... but as far as waxing for the actual day... waxing makes the area around my eyebrows very red for at least a couple of days so I'll be going a little less than a week before (and then plucking anything that comes in between then and the wedding).

personally i recommend threading over waxing, but i would say at least 2 days but no longer than 4.

I would say no longer than a week. Some ppl get a reaction to the wax so you don't want to go too close to the big day just in case. I do mine myself so I can't speak from experience

i would start now just to get your skin used to it. You dont know how youll react to it so its best not doing something for the first time right before the wedding.
ALso depends on how fast they grow back. I would say the week of the wedding. Ive been waxing my eyebrows since i was a teenager, about 15 years now lol wow that made me feel old. But i dont get red at all, maybe for 5-10 mins if that or get any bumps so i had mine waxed the day before.

i have VERY thick eyebrows so i know all about it. Mine are real bad that i cant just leave them so i know all about this. I have to wax mine every 2-3 weeks. I wax off more than what most ppl have as their eyebrows lol. Like when they take it off and you look on the strip of what they took off of me, its definitely thicker than most ppl eyebrows.
I will recommend you put a cooling cream after. I have one that is specifically for after waxing. Its by GiGi(honee) and its called after wax cooling gel. It will help. Also go to a place that has a no double dipping policy. Most of the time the problem is that girls get reactions from wax that is been used alot, and some places dip numerous times with one client, then with the next. ALSO make sure your skin is completely dry, if you feel even a bit sweaty make sure they put on baby powder first.

I'd recommend that they skip the oil afterwards -- that gives me bumps sometimes. I will use a toner once I get home to keep the pores clean. Also, when I go I have them wax underneath/inbetween and just tweeze the tops.

if you do choose the waxing route try it way in advance..my friend did it right before her wedding and had a reaction to it..some people also get redness from it..i personally prefer threading

I used to get mine waxed once a week...b/c my eye brows like to grow like weeds! LOL. But, now b/c I'm soo broke, I do them myself. LOL. They have perfect shape right now b/c I just clean them up, but I'm getting them threaded or whatever that's called next month, and if I like it, then again right before my wedding...like a day before HA>

ITA! If you are going to wax, I would go 2 days before, but would totally do a few trials before hand just to be sure how long the redness lasts. the redness for me lasts only a few hours but some girls have it for a few days...
