Have any of you gotten this done? Or are considering it? It's like $300 for a full set, and they last about 3 months. (lash cycle) I think I want to get it done like a week before the wedding, so I have it straight through the Honeymoon.
I would use the fake eyelashes, but becuase of my contacts, my eyes are really sensitive and I get really teary. I won't need anymore than what's already going to be shed!
Aren't they pretty??

They're very pretty. But so is the model. Also if you notice, the eye without the lashes looks puffy. Nice computer work
Is there a website for this? know anyone that's done it?

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
One of the contributing writers of Allure magazine recently tried out this procedure. She said that the lashes were quite thick and beautiful. One downfall~ because of how they are adhered to the eye, you cannot use an eyelash curler and they stuck straight out, hitting her glasses constantly.

Very good point! They are beautiful but I dot know about paying $300 ouch! I will just go to your nearest dept. store and buy a pair and do it yourself.

I'm sure that image is touched up. If you google eyelash extensions you'll see about 3 main brands come up. They look really nice.. The picture I posted above is a very dramatic look..
I think it depends on how your natural lashes are as well. Some people's eyelashes are very straight, so I guess the extensions would be too.. I think they have certain styles that are already curled a bit. . or maybe get an eyelash perm? they actually have that!!

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
I don't know how comfortable I would feel with semi-permanent lashes on for 3 months. There are lots of critters that live in lashes if you don't wash your face properly. You need to get all the mascara off from the day.

she also has no mascara on the untreated eye. i'd be a better comparision if they both had makeup instead of just one.

I think it is kind of strange, just get the do it yourself or some really good mascara!! That is a lot of money for your eyelashes.

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
I have contacts and my eyes are very sensitive as well, but I got the regular store bought eyelashes that go between the lashes, not the ones that cover the entire lid and they were fine. If your eyes are senstive to make up as well like mine are, use a baby wipe to clean your face. It does not leave it as greasy as a remover, it works on water proof, and it takes the mascara off of your eyes allowing the false lashes to stay intact for a few days

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
They are nice but if you are just getting them for your wedding I would opt for the lesser value. When I go out on special occasions I go to the hair salon and they put them on for $25 and they last for about 2 weeks. IMO

yeah, but the untreated eye has nothing on it and you can tell that her natural lashes are longer than what they want you to think.

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
I have done a lot of research on this. Almost every salon that I called charges upwards of $300 for the extensions. Some even charged as much as $500! I just can't spend that kind of money on my eyelashes. However, one salon in the city, J Sisters (who made the brazilian bikini wax famous!) offers a service where they put on small sections of lashes, rather than extending your own lashes. This service costs $80 and is supposed to last about 2 weeks. I may go this route.

Re: Eyelash Extensions?
found an advertisement for $200 a 'full set' of lashes (30 lashes per eye) at a place called Hollywood Salon and Day Spa.
929A Route 25A Miller Place, NY 11764 (631) 744-6600
I would advise you ladies to do more research on the eyelash extentions. make sure you go to someone that knows that the are doing. i had a very bad experience just a couple of months ago. they irratated my eyes a lot so if you have sensitive eyes remember you cant really rub them. also if you like to wear eyeliner the whole makeup removing process is a pain!!! you can not get the lashes wet.. they are expensive as well. ill stick to the temporary ones where i can take them off whenever i want to!!!
i copied and pasted this post since i just replied to another one with the same subject sorry!
