I had a friend who had them done and hated it. She had them taken off the following day. They were driving her crazy and when they come off it takes some of your natural eyelash with it so she had bald spots. Just be careful.

Re: eyelash extensions
I've heard VERY bad things about these.... be careful. Friend and fellow bride on here said that someone she knew did them and her lashes were NEVER the same.... they fell out in clumps and grew back sparsely.

Re: eyelash extensions
It intrigues me but scares me at the same time. I actually just got a prescription from my dr for Latisse. It's the stuff that makes your eyelashes grow. I've only been using it for 2 weeks and honestly, I can already see a difference. I will probably still end up using individual false eyelashes for the wedding, but my goal is not to worry about needing mascara on the HM!

WOW! Really? Now that's something to think about! Are there any long term effects? And what happens after you stop taking the meds?
From PERSONAL EXPERIENCE... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU ALLOW TO ATTACH EYELASH EXTENSIONS on you!!! They are VERY VERY DIFFERENT from just false eyelashes! The glue alone is serious! I had an AWFUL experience with these from a MU trial I went on. I lost A TON of my own natural eyelashes! At least 40 in each eye... and yes I counted! It was soooo bad!!!! You could tell something happened! They grew back now. They didn't grow back in a really bad way... but I think on my one eye they grew in a little different than they were originally... not too much and certainly not something another person would notice.. but I know my eyes... so I can tell.

Re: eyelash extensions
The side effects *could* be - darkening of your eye color and darking of your eyelid skin. So far, neither has been a problem for me. It's easy, the kit comes with brushes. Every night before you go to bed, just put one drop of the liquid (it's actually eye drops) on the brush and wipe it across your lashes, repeat for the other eye.
They say you'll see the full effects after 16 weeks. At that point, you go on 'maintenance' using it 2 or 3 times a week. If you stop, eventually you're eyelashes will go back to their stubby original selves. It's not like they will all fall out at once. You'll lose them like you normally lose eyelashes, which you don't even notice happening.

Re: eyelash extensions
Im thinking of having the lady who is doing my makeup, to add some fake eyelashes to the corner of my eyes. Is that the same as eyelash extensions? Do eyelash extensions go on the tips of eyelashes?

I *think* it's about $130 per month. My dr gave me 2 months of free samples (love him), so I haven't paid for it yet.

eyelash extensions go on your eyelashes... like right where they meet the skin part of your eyelid.. but they should not be on your skin at all! It should be applied to your lashed and the glue is intense!!!
False eyelashes are more on your skin... and the glue is more rubbery and stretchy. Just from rubbing it you should be able to remove the glue. Usually the glue is white and turns black as it dries. But I've also seen darker glue used.
I'm a big fan of that look... putting them on the tips! That looks hot!!
