I am planning on using fabric when I get to this stage.. what are you using to attach the fabric? Fabric glue Can you glue on silk? I was thinking of stapling it.. but I dont know what would work best? Also, did you use batting?

Don't know...I guess I'll figure this all out once I get the fabric and the box itself. LOL

Re: Fabric Card Box help
I'm using fabric for mines. Since my girls are wearing Latte & Champagne colored dresses from David's I went on to Ebay and bought a used David's bridesmaid gown in Latte for 10 bucks and I tore it up last night to cover the boxes with. I'll be doing the details in Champagne and Rhinestones...

My friend just used a plain old glue gun for her card box and it worked just fine, so I'm going to do the same.

Re: Fabric Card Box help
jo annes has a fabric called flannel backed satin... i find that it holds the glue on the boxes better i do not hot glue the fabric on since i'm a lil OCD i wated it as flat on the boxes as posible i use either tacky glue 'painted' on the boxes really thin or a fabric glue called Sobo i also 'paint' that glue on. then i use hot glue for the little details

i use thoes little black foam brushes and do a little section at a time. pure a nice amount in a bowl or something and take a glob on your brush and start in straight lines accros in the same direction then lay your fabric over it and lightly smooth it out. try a smaller area first or a scrap to try it out.
