So, I've gotten a facial before and it didn't really affect my face other than a little redness for about half a day. I went again yesterday because I was breaking out a bit and had a ton of blackheads and just felt my face could use a good cleaning. Well today, I woke up and my face looks so disgusting!! It looks a million times worse than just the breakouts that i had before, and i'm so upset because tomorrow, i'm going to florida for a friends engagement party.
For girls who have had experience with this.....is there anything i can do/should do to help? Will it go away eventually? AHHHHH, i'm just so upset that this happened! and now i'm scared to get another one before the wedding...like they recommended

I heard thats quite common and im sure it will go away soon. If you get another one though, i would make sure its at least a week before the wedding. Oh, i just noticed, you invited over 700 people to your wedding?! WOW! You guys know alot of people! How many people can your room hold?

you skin always looks best TWO WEEKS after a facial. I promise you, if she did serious extractions, which I am guessing is the case, your skin will be glowing in 2 weeks.

After getting a facial the skin esthetician warns me that I may break out bad after and this is just the pores cleansing themself. i'm sure you'll clear up in no time.

my skin has now begun to peel...and i keep slathering on moisturizer but i don't feel like it's help. i feel so ugly!

whoa.... cool it with the moisturizer. Your skin knows what to do. Let it do 'it's thang'. Overmoisturizing will make it worse. Just relax. If facials were that bad for you, no one would get them. Let your skin breathe for a week or so then report back

peeling? did you do a chemical peel
did she give you anything to put on after. I was given a herbal spot serum and worked great. Maybe see if they sell it at sephora or look online to see where they sell it

if you're skin's really sensitive i'd back off from the chemically stuff - use aloe, vitamin e, or olive oil to moisturize (you only need a little). it's say put on some apple cider vinegar to dry up the breakout (it seriously makes it go down overnight) but since you just had it done, i'd wait a week - you don't want to freak your skin out anymore and that stuff can be a bit harsh.

I have had facials before and have never had that kind of problem, I have very sensitive skin and am very careful with who i go to. Did you have extractions done? I know almost all places do it but its not good for your skin...that alone can cause breakouts and marks... Leave your skin alone for a few days and it should heal on its own. Dont mess with it or it will become more irritated
