Ok. So I went and got the first facial today to get my skin ready for our wedding. How often do you all get facials? They are so expensive I can't see getting them very often. The girl who did it was amazing. Just hated when she did the blackheads because that was painful but she did clear it all up. Just can't see going through that pain every week so wondering how often everyone has been getting their facials.

mehhh ...i go like once a year for a spa day, i don't think it's painful but everyone has different levels of pain tolerance.. it would be nice to go weekly but who the hell has time for that!

You're supposed to go once a month, but I go every other month because that's what I can afford.

I've actually never had a facial and was just thinking about getting one soon to see how my skin would react. There seem to be so many kinds of facials, how do you decide which to get??

I would say a few times before the wedding is more than enough... 3-4 times would suffice! Your last time should be 2-3 weeks before the wedding... don't do it closer just in case of anything!

I think people usually go monthly for facials but I think 4x a year would suffice! I definitely wouldn't recommend going for one too close to the wedding. Sometimes they can cause breakouts to come to the surface.

I go once every 6 weeks. I feel really relaxed and refreshed after.

If you've never had one I would start with a basic cleansing facial. I purchased a living social deal a few months ago and really got the best facial ever for super cheap. I just googled it to find her website and found this groupon deal. I highly suggest at least trying her out, the deal is so cheap. When I got there I upgraded to a microdermabrasion facial (she wasn't salesy, she mentioned it and I wanted to do it) for only $20 more which was still less than the cost of a regular facial. It didn't hurt, I didn't break out after (1st time for that), I wasn't red. It really was a good experience all around. She adds in a scalp, neck and hand massage as well.
