Re: facial question...
It depends. Sometimes your skin can react funny and get red. Sometimes it will only last a few hours, sometimes longer ... Do you have sensitive skin? I personally would maybe go for one soon and see how you react.

Re: facial question...
the wedding is in a week and a half my skin isnt that sensitive ... hmmmm maybe i should rethink this (and maybe i should talk to the bride about rethinking her facial too)

Re: facial question...
you might also want to let the aesthetician know that you have a big event the next day and ask her to recommend the mildest facial possible

Re: facial question...
ehh...kinda risky. You can have zero reaction and your skin can look fabulous. Or, you can break out/get a rash/have blotchy skin.....it's kind of a crapshoot.
What is your skin like normally?

DEFINITELY make sure the bride has had facials and knows how her skin reacts!!!
And for you, a mild one should be ok. Tell them NOT to do any extractions, that definitely will make you red.

Re: facial question...
I keep the rule of thumb to never get a facial right before an event, I find that one week before is best. You never know how you are doing to react to extractions, or a mask they put on, or anything.

Re: facial question...
I have never gotten splotchy but I have been told I have very tough skin... if you have sensitive skin it may get blotchy....I would do a test run first and see how you react or tell them to go easy on you and not do extractions.

Re: facial question...
It shouldn't leave you blotchy, may you may see some unwanted pimples though. Since they seem you face and put all those creams on, it may make you break out. Make sure they are using OIL FREE products

Re: facial question...
i have a friend who always turns blotchy after a facial, and her blotchiness lasts for a few days. If you have never had one I probably wouldnt risk it the night before a big event.

Honestly, I'd rethink it. Everyone's face reacts differently,HOWEVER, the are picking and pushing on your face for an hour. The whole day after a facial my face looks really red and blotchy and then the next day it's just starting to clear up.
Go for a mani/pedi/massage... i just don't think facial is the best idea.

Re: facial question...
the answer is simple, have a facial done anytime between now & the end of Sept..then you'll absolutely know if you should or shouldn't the day before

I would say do not do it - especially the bride. I've had friends who just didn't react well to things used on them during the facial. Better safe than sorry!
