Facials

I reposted from BHB - How far in advanced should I get a facial? I am getting married on 10/11 have I passed the deadline?

Have you ever had one before to see how your skin reacts? I am not bothered by them. I would say no less than 4 days out. If you've never had one, I don't know if I would risk a full one with extractions. The place I go to does a 1/2 one that is just deep cleansing - that should be fine for you even if you never had one -- unless you are normally very sensitive.

If you never had one -- 7 days before should be fine no matter what happens. If you have sensitive skin, get a mini facial with no extractions, just a deep cleansing.

I was thinking about getting one- but I have broken out from them on occasion- so I wanted at least 2 weeks and the girl that I go to didnt have appointments till Saturday- which is too close for me but everyone's skin is different

i just read jen's suggestion about a mini-facial- that may be the way to go- definately no extractions if you break out.

i have gone to stacy at salon blue in mineola a couple times and she's great!

ohh would you mind sharing the name of the place in huntington?!?! I want to get one but don't want to go to FMIL (fh warned me she will do what she wants and not what i want lol weird i know) so i am looking for a good place but never had one before so was thinking a mini facial is a good deal!! thanks!!

Thanks so much for the input. I actually live in Queens and go to a spa in Astoria. I will get a cleansing with no extractrions to keep it safe...

Catie, the place is called Natural Care Chiropractic. I forget who did my facial last week - Denise I think?? I have her card at home, I will FM you later when I get there. She was great - $45 for a 1/2 hour, not sure if that is a good price or not but she did a good job.

Do you live in this area? I thought you were in Babylon.
