I've never had one, but my mom has and she has sensitive skin. You're going to have to tell them how your skin is and it will determine what they use. Be prepared to break out a little though, because it clears out your pores.

I love getting facials but if your skin is sensitive you may want to instruct the aesthetician not to do any extractions. I have one scheduled this Friday at Mario Badescu, which was recommended to me by one of the 09 brides - can't wait!! I usually went to bliss and love their triple oxygen treatment or their regular facial. I never had a problem at either place with sensitivity or breakouts afterward.

I've had facials in the past.......loved them....bought a few products but not the whole kit and kaboodle. I have an appt on Saturday at my nail salon and she knows to stay away from my eyelids that have been dried out like beef jerkey from FSIL's Mary Kay cleansing products. I can let you know how it is. If not, check out Healthy Alternatives in Babylon.........................tell them I sent you.

Suprisingly enough...I NEVER broke out after a facial. Had a GC for Cactus in East Islip and I fell asleep...no reaction though I would NEVER recommend who did my mani/pedi.....got ingrown nails like crazy!

I just got one the other day...I have very dry skin and it did wonders for me...I'm not sure if that helps but I figured it couldn't hurt.

i love facials! i've been taking them even before i got engaged... my advice would be is that go to a reputable spa. they would interview you and recommend the best treatment for your type of skin.

I just had one on Saturday. I have very sensitive skin. did not have a problem and did not break out at all. had extraction too. i think it all comes down to the products they use. most good salons will ask you questions and things like that.
