Question for you girls. Is anyone concerned about fainting during the ceremony?? I have a habit of fainting for no other reason than being stressed, tired or nervous even though I don't lock my legs etc. (though it does happen when I'm standing in one place). Any suggestions?? Have you ever seen this happen at a wedding? TIA!

Re: Fainting??!
Its funny that you bring this up; I passed out on Saturday and I think it's because I was worrying and thinking about the wedding too much. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before and now that it has Im kind of concerned about the day of. I just hope that once I see everything is going good then I wont be so nausous and everything.

I randomly become faint but never actually fainted. It doesn't happen often enough for me to be too nervous about it on my wedding day. Make sure everyone around you knows in case this does happen, I don't think you can prevent it, unless you take a stress relieving drug, and that might not even work.

Yeah, I'm little nervous about that too. I've fainted before also from being really stressed and it usually happens when I'm standing in one place also. I guess I'll just hope for the best. Sorry I don't have any better advice.

I've actually only been close to fainting once or twice. Horrible feeling. I'm not worried about fainting during the ceremony, but when I'm nervous I get red blotches all over my chest and my rose turns BEET red. So embarrassing.

i've only ever had it happen when i get out of bed and its wierd but its never happened around anyone else...I'll get up...walk to the door or something...and suddenly black out and feels like I'm shaking, I can't see anything and I fall to the floor. when i feel it coming I usually try to hold on to the doorknob or something so i don't fall and crack my head open...hasn't happened in a while and when it does happen its few and far between

Try to get up slowly. When I get a migraine, it always takes me ages to get the strength to get up to get some motrin, and then I always forget and get up quickly, like 'ok just go!' and then I pass out. So even if youre just waking up in the AM or from a nap, you need to remember to move slowly. Also check your blood sugar. That may solve it.
As for the bride that's nervous, talk to your doctor. Theres no shame in popping an anti-anxiety pill. Also be sure to drink some orange juice or something on the day of to keep your blood sugar up. Good luck! I hope you don't faint.
