Fairmont- All the rooms are suites. Voted one of the best hotels in Hawaii on travel channel. I saw that episode the other night. The place looks really nice.
I am sure Four seasons is beautiful as well.

I don't think you could go wrong with either choice.

I don't know about the Farimont - But we stayed at the Four Seasons are were very disappointed. - The suite was beautiful, the bathroom was twice the size of my apartment and the bed was the most comfortable thing in the whole world.......but the pool was SO small and SO crowded it was annoying - same thing for the beach .......Also, I know the staff is supposed to be extrmemly attentive.......but after awhile, you just want to tell them to GO Away !!!!

we stayed at the four seasons in maui this september for our honeymoon and we were REALLY DISSAPOINTED! We looked at the grand wilea and farimont but neither had rooms available or else we would have switched.

I don't know about the Four Seasons, but we stayed at the Fairmont in July and we loved it! Our room was beautiful and the staff was amazing!

I'm so surprised to hear some people were disappointed with the 4S Maui!! We stayed in an Oceanfront Club Level Room (food and drinks included ALL day) and it was absolutely amazing. We were treated like royalty, the room was gorgeous, and the pool was not at all crowded when we went. The other hotels were nice too (G. Wailea and Fairmont) but very busy, especially with families and kids. To me the 4S was more laid back and relaxing. We also met Wolfgang Puck at Spago there!
