I'm curious how many of you will be wearing fake eyelashes... I definitely want to. Does anyone know how this works? Do I have to buy them myself before the big day or should my makeup person have them? If I have to buy them, which ones are good and where should I go?

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I picked up a box of the individual ones they were $3.00 in the city. My make up artist said she would supply them, but i picked them up any way. it all depends on your make up artist. they may supply them, but if they ask you to purchase them ask which they prefer, individual, indiviual on a string, or plain full lashes...and get the glue, they say they stick by themselves, but they don't.

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I might, to play up my eyes. But I first have to see how they look on and how they FEEL on. I am a contact wearer, so I am imagining that they may feel uncomfortable. In that case, I will not wear them. I would ask the person doing your make-up if they do false eyelashes and provide them. If they tell you to get your own- ask them for advice on what to use and where to go.

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I had them for my trial, but be careful - I was allergic to the adhesive. So, I can't wear them.

I had them for the trial...my eyes looked amazing but I am not using them for the wedding....they started to become annoying after a few hours....not worth it to me.

I am planning on wearing them although I have never tried them. Can't wait for my makeup trial!

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I love them but you just need to make sure you aren't allergic and that you are comfortable in them. I had a full set done at MAC and they were so big - I couldn't see up at all. They didn't look that big when i was picking them out. The individual lashes (or small clusters of lashes I should say) are best. Don't get them too big and you'll be fine.

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
The top lashes kept getting stuck to the bottom lashes...I would rub them and the lashes began to sit in the wrong places. It was actually kind of funny!

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I tend to play up my eyes with makeup a lot anyhow, but when I went to my trial I asked for the fake lashes to see what the big whoop was .. they truly make a HUGE difference to me! I just LOVED the way they looked, very glam ..
I didn't have super long ones (since I wear contacts), and I did make sure to wear them for awhile to make sure they didn't bug me. I was sure they would bother me but I really didn't feel as though they were on at all!
Definitely try them out for a day to see if you'll be irrirated by them ..

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I definitely am - but I never tried them before, I'm asian and my lashes are not long or dark so it's a must for pictures and all that. I hear they really make some great ones. I'll be playing around with them to see what works

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I'm wearing individual ones - Oksana is providing them for me and she's using real hair ones (that kind of skeeves me out but anyway...)
Even though I already have long eyelashes, having a few extra ones added on makes a HUGE difference in pictures. I've worn them before and yes they feel a little weird at first but you get used to it. I would definately recommend them!

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I know this may sound silly, but do you put mascara on false eyelashes?

Re: Fake Eyelashes?
I tried them the other day and I think they were a little too much for me- I already have pretty long eyelashes, but I agree they do look beautiful in pictures!

No, you do not. All your eye makeup goes on first and the false eyelashes go on last.
