Fake eyelashes?

Fake eyelashes?

Did anyone use them for your wedding or trial? I'm thinking I want to, but I'm not sure if my make up girl would have them so I figured I'd pick some up on the way to the appointment.

Do they use the ones that come in pieces that you apply one at a time, or the full lashes?

TIA!

I had them just on the outer part of my top lash for little bit more drama... it's looked very subtle

My girl used the ones that go on one at a time. It came out very nice, made a big difference.

I had them. Had half a full lash on the outer half of each eye for extra effect. I loved the look and my eyes popped so much more than they would have with just mascara.

I would definitely suggest trying them in your trial. A good MU person will be able to show you both looks- with the fakes and without.

I had them...both trial & wedding. They looked PHENOMENAL. It really made a difference & I think the eyes are the most important feature on a woman. My eye lashes are pretty...but with false lashes...they POPPED.

They went on one clump of about 4-5 lashes at a time. They looked really uniform. My make up artist had them.

The hard part was getting them off. I'm not sure what glue she used...but they really didn't want to come off. I tried everything: hot water, cold water, soaking. Finally I cut the ones that didn't come off (to the length of my eye lashes) & just let them fall off with time.

Def. go for fake eyelashes, they make an incredible difference. I wore them to my e-party...I just did the MAC fake lashes...only problem is one was falling off slightly! You should get the ones where they attach each indiv. eyelash...they last longer.

I had them for both the trial and the wedding.

Definitely try them out during your makeup trial and wear them all day to see how they feel. When I had them put on, Oksana used the individual pieces rather than a whole strip, and put them on with a special glue. They felt a little strange at first b/c I've never had fake eyelashes put on before. But I wore them from 2pm until way after midnight when I gently tugged on my lashes and they came off easily. They definitely made my eyes pop!! Here's a pic.....

depends on how dramatic you want them to look, but I would go for the full set of lashes

definitely go with fake eyelashes! they make a very big difference. i have done them myself for special occasions. i have tried both kinds but the ones that go on 1 lash at a time or a few lashes at a time usually look more natural than one big piece, in my opinion at least. it gives more WOW

Re: Fake eyelashes?

Thanks everyone! I'm going to pick some of the lash-by-lash ones up and bring them to the trial just in case she doesn't have any. Can't wait to see how they look!!

ETA: I think i'll pick up both kinds of lashes b/c after looking at all of your pics I can't decide..

I wore the full strip, the makeup artist cut them to fit.
Could have used the individual ones, but the full strip made more of a wow impact.

I had them for a special occasion, and I really liked the way that they looked...however they started to bother me after the day and when I pulled them off some of my eyelashes came out with them...But they looked really good so it was worth is!!

You can call your make-up artist and ask her if she has them and how much they will be. I didn't plan on using them but my make up artist said we should just try it for the trial. I ended up really liking them, she used the individual pieces and glued them on, not the full lash, pics in my album if you're interested.

I had them, we used the full strip and they really did their job, my eyelashes are practically non existent so there really was no question on whether or not to use them

A friend of FH who works in a salon is doing my hair, and her friend (who also does this for a living) is doing the make up, so it's all kinda casual... I haven't even talked to the make up girl myself. Marie (our friend doing hair) said that if the friend doesn't do lashes they can learn before the big day... haha that all probably sounds terrifying but I'm confident and I'll (hopefully) have proof when I do my trial on the 15th!!

I have used both. I like the smaller individual ones better, but my makeup artist only does the strips so I have no problem using those. I slept with my falsies on and the next day they were still in tact- Once I showered they peeled right off.
