Hmm...well I've never attempted, but if I put my eyeliner on crooked I get conjunctivitis, so probably not the best to give advice on anything eye related.
But I do know it took both artists I trialed with a good 5 plus minutes to get them on right for me, and then one of the four lashes (two trials) popped half off. And this was with someone else doing it, so I would imagine even more difficult to do to yourself.

No they are pretty easy once you do it a few times. There are some videos on youtube.
I use a tweezer to help move them and press them down.

ive never done them myself by my makeup girl took about a minute to do them..so quick!
