Fake Pedals On tables?

Anyone doing this?

I would kinda be embarrassed if someone felt them and realized they were fake lol..... but then again in this economy who are they to judge ( as they sip on top shelf liquor and dine on a 6 course meal all on my dime )

I want to do a non-floral candle CP something like this but with scattered pedals

That is really nice! I don't thing fake petals is tacky but if ur concerned with it y don't u order extra petals with whomever did your boquets and then gave your reception people the petals to put on the tables. I don't think real petals is expensive.

I havent priced them yet, i just know I like the full opulent look and that'll prob be pricey with real pedals ...

I know I understand. Price them out.. if theyre too much $$ then go with the fake. Just like you said, your paying 4 their food and drinks... y should they care about petals??? Fake petals are not bad, and they are cheap.

You can always order freeze dried petals online.... they may be cheaper than fresh petals.

I would go with candles or something. There are some beautiful options for non-floral centerpieces. We did ours using hurricane lamps from IKEA. I would go to IKEA and look around, go to Michael's too. If you go look around you will find some inspiration, and start to come up with ideas. Also saveoncrafts.com is a great website i used for glass gems to fill the lamps.

Sometimes the fake petals leave tiny strings on the table, and it doesn't look good. I have used them at work before for a party, and it looked tacky.

I can't imagine that anyone I invited to my wedding be be thinking this. Knowing me I probably wouldn't of invited anyone who I think would.

I think it's probably just in your head but if it means that much to you contact the florist you are using and ask them for a quote. There are websites that sell fresh petals in bulk you can try that too.
