Fake Rings

do you know those vending machines fake rings??

my friend is looking for them for her Sat wedding, she wants to put those on the ring boy pillow instead of her rings, obviously. She doesn't want the pillow to be bare either for pictures.

I have been to like 4 vending machines and haven't seen them.....she has loooked all over NYC also, as well as Claires.....

does anyone know where to get fake cheap plastic rings? not hot pink or anything?

macys has a big selection but more around 10-30 dollars...

I would think claires would have them too but i guess not...

in roosevelt field there is a childrens dress up store where they sell tiaras and boas... they might have accessories in that store i forget what it is called

I got a really pretty one at Macys a couple years ago. It was with the costume jewelry. It looks so real!

I gave it to one of my BMs so she can trick guys who pisss her off.

Re: Fake Rings

story time:
when FH and I started dating we decided to play a prank on a friend of mine, so we went to kmart and bought a really simple ring it was like $22.00 (it was on sale and I got an employee discount from a friend) it was yellow gold with a 1½kt CZ stone. we told her we were getting married, everyone we talked to was in on the joke. she fell for it and got upset that we were only dating like 3 weeks and she had been with her bf for like a year. so HAHA joke. I still wore it for YEARS.

skip ahead, FILs were going to italy and made a comment to FH and I not to get engaged while they were away... so we happened to stop at TJ max and saw this gorgeous set, it was fake (obv) I think we paid like $20 for it.. when they came home we told FMIL that not only did we get engaged, but we went to town hall and got married... she nearly died!

sooo I wore that ring until FH really did propose (so if you think about it, my ring finger hasn't been bare for like 6 years)

I plan on using both the 'promise' rings in the wedding, so my RBs (I have 2) will carry one of each.

Re: Fake Rings

well the one downfall...
when FH proposed we were in NC, so my 2nd ring was put into a box and I don't remember what I did with it. I THINK its in a vase he made me... but I'm not sure.

the other one... was in the vase (I put a lot of stuff in the vase) but when my grandfather passed away (um 3 months after we were engaged) I moved into his bedroom and things got moved... and I remember taking the rings out and putting them somewhere else (separately) .. but I don't remember where that some place else is.
and while I was moving into his room I was also packing stuff away because my parents are selling the house, so for all I know those two teeny tiny rings could be in one of the extra large boxes packed away in the basement.
we have about 50 (yea.. FIFTY) boxes in the basement... and my THREE boxes are in the far corner... pretty much impossible to get to.. we had to get to it once.. my father FREAKED out.

soooo maybe I'll look for them tonight, now that they're on my mind. (wish me luck)

sorry- to hijack your post.. just wanted to share where I got my two RB rings from.
