i feel the same way, i dont know what ill end up doing about that just yet.
I am getting a fake ring for the honeymoon because I take it off a lot, like when i shower, or sleep...and i just wouldn't feel comfortable taking it off anywhere else but home, i would be too afraid something would happen to it
I went to Off 5th in the Source and they have GORGEOUS rings that look so real. I put one on next to mine and it looked like a real diamond. When I saw how good these rings look, I said to myself that I am def getting one for the honeymoon.

i think it depends on where you're going. i don't personally worry about the ring on the beach. i'd just get the setting checked before leaving to make sure the diamond doesn't innocently fall out. otherwise, i think the only other factor is crime, which doesn't sound like it'll be a problem at a resort.

I had already used this idea and it worked out great. Instead of bringing my engagement ring on our cruise this past April i went to the flea market and bought a fake one that looked similar to it. I was afraid that something would happen to the real one. FH and i went to an all inclusive resort, breezes in the Bahamas, one of the workers there stole my bag! And wouldn't fess up to it. We had the Bohemian police come in and they did nothing. The resort did nothing for us at all either. So passed upon my past vacation prior to the cruise i decided to just leave the real one at home so i didn't have to worry and i could just enjoy myself.
i might do this im very scared of losingmy ring especially at the beach my fingers tend to shrink!
I want to do that but spending the extra money on that isn't a good idea for me. I know the wedding and e rings are irreplaceable but i might just take my chances.
I bought a set for vacation (not HM) from sears that was a pretty good CZ for $30. They ended up slipping off my finger in the ocean and lost for good, I definitely do not recommend bringing good jewelry on vacation, not worth it!
I brought my real ones to wear at night and out and things like that, but I wore a fake set during the day at the beach and and some excursions and left my real set in the room safe. I have this crazy paranoia about my stone coming out in the water or the whole ring slipping off, I know I'm crazy, but I never wear it at the beach, ever.
