I have been thinking alot about the fake wedding date I gave my bridal shop. I told them my wedding is a month before it's actual date and now I'm worried I might get my dress too early. How early is too early my last fitting is scheduled for mid July my wedding is Aug 22. I will have it for just over a month during the summer. Does anyone think this will be a problem?

It might be if you gain or even lose too much weight.

Re: Fake Wedding dates
I lied too and when I went in to look at the BM dresses I told the lady that I had given her an earlier date just in case it was delayed. They were fine with it. SO I will go for a fitting probably at the end of march. Dont worry they expect it

When it comes in and you go to see it I'd come clean on your real date. It won't be a big deal

they'll hold onto it if you get it early. i'd say after you get the call that it's in, call them up and let them know you had to 'push the date back a month' due to personal things. that way you'll still get your dress on time and you'll get your fittings at the right time too.

Re: Fake Wedding dates
you can always tell them that the wedding got pushed back to a 'later' date. All of my friends all dropped at least 5-10 pounds the month before the wedding date from being stressed out from all the last details, so they all had to have their dresses taken in more.

I agree lie to them again and tell them you had to change the date.

Or you can just blame it on them that THEY got the date wrong!

Re: Fake Wedding dates
I would just tell them that they messed the month up..then they'll feel that it was their mistake.... Just kidding- I would just tell them that your wedding got pushed back to the date that it's supposed to be.

I agree that they expect it, but a MONTH is a bit extreme for a fake date ....
Most brides drop a few pounds in the last 2 weeks before their wedding. With a whole month, its likely your dress will fall off
Telling them you pushed the date back is a great suggestion.

Re: Fake Wedding dates
I would definitely tell them you changed it bc where would you keep a dress for an entire month? i picked mine up two days before and it had to hang in the middle of my mother's bedroom so it didn't get wrinkled.
