Fall 2011 brides

What have you done so far??

I feel like i'm SO behind compared to other 2011 girls on the board...but i remind myself that my wedding isn't until later in the year

Just church and RH so far!! Don't worry, you have plenty of time, relax...there are still new girls popping up on the 2010 board!!!

i'm getting married in June and I already have the RH, Church, Hair & Makeup Artist, Photo, Video and the Band. I am waiting to book the flowers and Limo's until the summer of this year.
Don't worry, you still have a lot of time.

Just the RH at this point. Getting in gear to work on church and DJ and photo, but nothing really done yet other than initial meetings/info gathering.

same here!!! I just said this on another post, but I'll say it again - I think being on this website all the time makes me feel more anxious than I should be. ppl are always coming on here to let us know what they booked which I love to hear, but sometimes makes me feel like I should get moving! I just snap myself back to reality and tell myself that we have plenty of time! I mean, I have a year and what, 9 months?!?! That's really a long time when you think of it like that! No need to rush into any decisions! I will only make a decision once I'm 100% comfortable. Don't let the pressure get to you!

Ok-I feel better! Maybe once we put the deposit on the RH then we'll start to look into booking other vendors!

We booked the RH and videographer so far. And I started talking to someone about invitations and stationary, but only because I want her to do my e-party invites too.

The only other things I'm concerned about booking right now are the photographer and stuff for the e-party (in May).

I think we have plenty of time, but with photo and video I didn't want to take the chance of not getting who I wanted.

I'm done with Church, RH, Band, photography and video. I just wanna get it out of the way and enjoy my summer. I also go to school and am not home every weekend to go to appts.
Plus, I rather spend my weekends this summer at the beach rather than sit looking for photo, video, etc..

I havent done anything!!!! FH has his heart set on land's End so we'll see. once we book our place, we'll be on a roll I'm sure.

definitely wait until you book the RH and put money down before you start booking other vendors. We got engaged this past December and will be married next January- you have plenty of time, especially since I feel like I do, too!!!

Yes I feel like this site is great but sometimes i think you can compare your wedding to other peoples and you feel bad bc you can't afford the same things as other people. Everyone is very different! i HAD THE HARDEST TIME FINDING MY RH hall. I love it but when you see other peoples RH it makes you think twice. You just have to make a decision and go with it!

I booked my RH becuase i had 1 specific date in mind. Then i said i would wait to the 1 year mark. but i did call Duet and they were BOOKED, which got me nervous. So i am meeting with the photographers this week and will book that and a video. Flowers i will look into in September to see what is available during that time, and my uncle is doing them for me.
Dj. is a family friend who Dj's all the events.

so dont know what other vendors to look at it. My dress search begins March 20.. Im going to to a bridal salon once a month and towards the end of the year pick the dress.

aww never feel that way! Your wedding will be wonderful no matter where it is. My fav wedding ever was in a park. I'm not kidding. It was maybe 75 people and it was just such a nice affair. simple, elegant and honestly a 10th of the price as all of our weddings.

Some people just have a big budget. Doesn't mean anything.

So far I've only booked RH and band.

I'm actively searching florists and photographers. Will probably book florist on Thursday and maybe photographer by the weekend. I don't think you need to start this early, but I am b/c I'm taking the Bar exam this summer and will basically be out of commission between May and August.

yea, once you book the RH, you'll feel a HUGEEE weight off your shoulders! That was really stressful just bc that means sooo much - it solidifies your date and everything. Once that's all set up, you'll feel much muchhhh better!

I'm the day after you!

I've booked the reception hall, church and band. The only reason we booked the band so early was because one of my family members is friends with the lead singer and they happen to have a showcase around the time we booked the RH. We liked them so much, we booked them on the spot. Otherwise, I would have waited.

I think you have plenty of time. I may start looking into photo and video towards the end of March, making a decision by May. So that I have time to take e-pics, get them developed, make STDs and send them out by Nov.
