As you know in the Fall the sun goes down early. i wanted to know where are fall brides taking pics after the ceremony. I really do not want to pay for a site.
Im getting married in Freeport and my hall is in Floral Park. Is there any parks or beautiful view to take pics. Thanks

I got married the same time as you and the sun didn't go down until after 6pm, although I was already inside taking pics at the hall (we went to Northport after the church). Sorry I'm not much help for a place to take pics, I'm not familiar with the Floral Park area. Good Luck

i was originally planning on old westbury gardens... but then i actually thought for a second and realized it would be dark by the time we got there!!!! i am getting married in baldwin and reception is in mineola... i will take pics outside the church, and then go over to silver lake.... there are actually many many nice spots to take pics there. i live right around the block and always see brides there.....

Re: Fall brides a ?
a lot of people who wrote back are or were October brides who don't have this problem as much as November or December brides. we have to turn back the clocks this year on Oct. 29, I am getting married on Nov. 4 so I just miss out on the longer time of sunlight. the sun will go down at 4:50 on Nov. 4 and our wedding is at 5, so we are only taking pix inside the church and inside the catering hall, also the back patio and gazebo at the catering hall are lit up so we'll take some pix out there.

Why don't you try Milburn Pond right by Freeport high? They did a beautiful job renovating the pond and the surrounding area. You will take lovely pictures there.
Oh the Garden city gazebo off stewart ave. is also just lovely. Only thing is, it is first come first serve.
