I know that there was just a post with all the fall stuff on it, I only liked the cornucopia idea from there, and am trying to find a cute, not too hard to make fall placecard idea.
Any thoughts?

Hi -
I'm using small pumpkins and gourds (sp?) and having names printed up on business card size (maybe smaller -we'll see) and either using small push pins (not the office-kind - but the sewing kind) to place them on the front OR making a small cut into the pumpkin/gourd on an angle and resting them in that groove.
hope that sort of makes sense. There was a picture at one point of the latter option but i don't have it.

We were going to do the same thing, but to save space, we are going to make our maple syrup favors double as our placecards.......I think!

I just made regular tent style ones, but I used ivory paper & brown ink, to keep it fall looking & I made matching table numbers & put those in little leaf shaped place card holders. It was too expensive to use them for all the place cards.

I used blank index cards and a stamp.. I originally had leaves, but I felt like it would look too leafy at the front sign in table, so I changed it to Hearts, but kept the same fall red color, I wrote the names in script, and the table number... I am not sure if It was on the back or inside.. My wedding was so long ago..but evreyone loved them
I've got placecards with a leaf motif. They match my menus, beverage napkins and table cards.

I'm doing a big seating board instead. Its so much easier than people having to find their cards on the table. Also this allows people to sit next to who they want too, rather than I doing it for them.

I am doing plain ivory place cards & I got punchouts of leaves & we are gluing those on just to go with the theme.

This is the placecard I am using. I got them from Kathy at Follow Your Heart. The napkins and menu have the same motif. I am doing the cards for the table numbers myself using a leaf clipart I found.
I'm doing a big seating board instead. Its so much easier than people having to find their cards on the table. Also this allows people to sit next to who they want too, rather than I doing it for them.
How does the seating board work? Don't you still have to put the table #? With a placecard, don't they still sit next to whoever they want?

We are using pumpkin place card holders. I got them from the current catalog but they are sold out now. I cant even find them on the website. We bought them about a year ago when they were on sale. I cant even find a pick, but I have them at home and I'll take a pick when I get home from work

We had regular 'tent' style placecards then I glued three cloth leaves to the left hand side of the placecard. They came out really cool. Sorry no pic!

These are the ones I am using, I bought them off of Ebay.
I have small silver frames that I am using. I am going to do a faded black and white pic of us in the back and put people's names and table # in a script font that matches our invites. Love how they look and I got a FABULOUS deal on them at a store in Massachusetts.
