I got engaged a little over a week ago and we are thinking of getting married in October of this year. I have been looking at lots of pictures and I seem to favor some of the more summery colors. Do you have to use fall colors, orange yellow and brown aren't my colors??? any thoughts are definitely appreciated.

I think its fine to use whatever colors you like. I am using red in july, and I guess red is technically a winter color.

im a huge fan of doing what makes you happy. pick the color combination you love and incorporate it into as many aspects as you can. i have having a fall wedding with brown, gold and cream. technically they are fall colors but if i was getting married in may or july, i'd use the same colors b/c i just love them.

I think your right. I really like blues & cream colors for flowers. I love Hydrangeas. Thank you. Where are you getting married?

that sounds pretty brown gold and cream. If I love bluess & cream may I can throw in a little brown too which can be trendy. Thanks for the help

Use whatever colors or theme YOU like. I am getting married 09-27-08 and using summery colors because they are my favorite.

Do what makes you happy. I am using crimson, black and gold for my spring wedding. I would not change that.

I'm getting married in August and in the beginning I was hung up on picking a 'summer' color, but then I kept gravitating toward the wine/burgandy colors which really isn't a summer color. I said the heck with it, I'm doing what I like! I say go with whatever colors you want its your day!

I am getting married 11/8 and im using eggplant purple and all of my flowers and accents are fuschia pink !! do whatever makes you happy you are the bride

I got married in November and used navy, silver and white for the bridal party colors. The girls had cream and white roses with green hydrangea for the bouquets. I loved the richness of the navy and it was flattering on everyone.
I used brighter colors for my centerpieces.
I think you should use whatever colors you love most!

I was married 9-29-07 and the colors that I used were Victorian Lilac and Lavender for my MOH & BMs. I have pictures in my album. It's your day, you use whatever colors that you want too.

you don't have to do anything. one of the great things about the age we live in is the fact that we're not stuck keeping with tradition. choose colors you love, and be prepared to change you mind 701 times if you're anything like me

Definitly not! I am getting married this fall and happen to be using fall colors but you can use whatever color scheme you prefer. Your vendors will be able to create whichever look you are going for no matter what time of year it is.
