Hiya! Does anyone know what are the most common flowers available in the fall on Long Island? We are getting married in November and since we're on a tight budget, I heard in-season flowers would be the most inexpensive. I have a couple of appts with florists and one of them said to think about a budget we are comfortable with but for the life of me I know nothing about flowers. Thx!!
We're using sunflowers but I heard they're in season year round now! They're a great fall flower!

I'm using Gerber daisy's, orchids, hydrandgas(sp?),i forget what else. I am using wick's in Bellmore they are very reasonable.
We are having mainly orchids and roses.

Roses, hydrangeas, dahlias, and other little things I'm not sure what they're called. I'm using Black Dahlia, but whoever you use should be able to help you get in season flowers that look similar to ones that you may like and are out of season.
I am getting married in November too! We just picked our flowers- ivory garden roses (similar to peonies), hydrangeas, orchids, ranunculus, lisianthus, LILIES! I don't know your color scheme but there is a calla lily that's dark purple and another lily that is white but purple in the center
agible23, that sounds beautiful!! i am going to have a deep navy blue with the orange and bronzes of autumn. i got the idea from a picture of a fall tree changing orange against the blue sky

For me, something about seeing them in person did it for me! The pictures of them online don't do them justice!
