sorry to hear that
FH is kind of in a similiar boat. only his mom, and 2 of his brothers (& their wives) are going to come to our wedding. no other family is invited/wanted. lots of drama

No family dosen't know i haven't heard from some in like a year so it doesn't matter. Trust me it will be the happiest day of my life not having mean people in the wedding.

Yes my family knows and i think they think that they are getting invited but wait till my invitations are out in early December they will now how i feel of all the things they did to me and maybe with this experience they change.

FH has this issue... Practically none of his family will be there except his niece & nephew who are in wedding party.... He especially does not want his mom there (which I think is hysterical)

Im only inviting the family members that I feel need to be there, not the members that I wouldnt or pay attention to if I walked past them down the street

In a similar boat......lot of family drama, but basically just my mom, grandma and uncle is invited.....but I have a really small family anyway.
The most important thing is that you do what makes you comfortable and there shouldn't be anyone there that you wouldn't want anyway!

Thanks girls for your supports i've been seen a pshycologist because people taught i was going crazy with my decision and everybody had to say something like they are your family no matter what. Even if they called you a nobody a girl from the streets no thank you i don't want people like that around my life especially my family.

My FH is in a similar situation... too long to explain but TRUST ME youre NOT the only one... actually i think its very common now-a-days anyway.. its unfortunate but this is life

I am so sorry about that. FH is kind of in the same boat. His dad doesn't talk to most of his family so none of them will be at our wedding. I've never even met them. I do wish that I could leave some of my family out.
