Family get-together tomorrow and not all are invited, oh boy!

Well, it's time for me to face the music tomorrow!
I'm gettng together with some family, mainly cousins, and only a couple of them are on my invite list. Only, they don't know it, yet. So tomorrow I don't know what to expect, are people going to flat out ask for an invite? How do I politely brush them off? It's not like any of them invited me anywhwere....

easily: just say u dont know anything yet, and that there's still lots of time
or my fav response that my mom gets when talking to the invited guests: 'God willing!' - still not sure what that means

Why aren't you girls inviting family that you see? You will have to face the music eventually, and you will have to expect them to be disappointed and pissed if they find out at the last minute. If you are not inviting them and they think they are, i think you should have the courtesy (and balls of steel!) to tell them early on and to their face. Tell them you are having a small wedding, or that you can't afford a big wedding and want to keep it to close family and friends. But don't avoid them and hope they will forget. And remember these are people that will still be in your life, might get awkward...

I would be honest and let them know the guest list isn't finalized. You may not want to or even be able to afford to invite everyone; people should know this and not expect an invitation. I think its rude...especially if efforts are not reciprocated. When you are paying for your own wedding, there is liberty to rule your guest list and all the details with the wedding. Every person makes a difference. Who cares what they think... they obviously didn't take your feelings into consideration when they didn't invite you to certain events. And you still speak with them. You will not be able to make everyone happy. JMO
