Is anyone doing a tribute to any relative that passed away at the wedding? I know somebody who onces paid for a table for deceased relatives and had candles lit at the table. I do not want to do that I think that is a bit much. My uncle recently passed away and he was supposed to be in my bridal party. I don't know what I would do to incorporate his memory into the wedding but He was such a big part of my life I feel like he should be mentioned. Does anyone have any ideas or is this too morbid for a wedding?

I'm adding something to my program
Otherwise that is about it..I don't want it to be too depressing for myself or my mom

Alot of times the church will make mention of deceased relatives. But if not, you can put pictures and candles on a table in lobby, or a fireplace mantle.. If you look around they also have memory candles where you can get some info put on them. Some brides also put photos on their bouquet, like mini locket size.

i am not 100 percetn sure what I am doing but some relatives will be mentioned and i will be doing something special for my siser who passed last year

We plan to leave an empty seat with a rose on the plate at my FH's family table for my FH's mom. She passed away in April of 09. We thought it would be a nice way to remember her privately. We were thinking of making a photo-collage montage of my FH and his mom and play it during the mother/son dance. But i'm not sure if that is appropriate. The last thing I want to do is upset my FH's family and get everyone in an upset mood. So we shall see

All of FH's and my grandparents have passed, so we're doing a photo montage with photos of us and them growing up.

We are doing a donation to the american heart association because FHs dad and uncle passed away from heart attacks. I think we will maybe put some pictures in frames around the RH of relatives, both with us and deceased.
