Family Pictures

My FH's sister's boyfriend, lives with her and they have been together for about 3 years, I think almost 4 by the time the wedding is, the question is, do we include him in the family pictures? My FH and I don't want it to cause a problem, but I was wondering if it is inappropriate to exclude him? We would do some pictures with out him also if we were to include him.

Re: Family Pictures

Take some with and without him. I think people totally understand. We took family picks for christmas and my sister was in a serious 2 year relationship, where they owned a house together...and now they broke up so my mom is very upset that he is all the pics...So do it both ways.

Re: Family Pictures

I do not think he should be in family pictures as he is not family yet.

At FH cousin's wedding last year, we were engaged and it was time to take family pictures and I declined to be in them. Yes we are getting married in a few months, but I am still not legally family yet.

I agree to include him in some but not all. When my brother got married, my older brother was engaged to a girl and they decided not to include her in the photo's. She was ****ed!!! But it was a good thing becasue they broke up months after the wedding. You just never know what could happen.

I would do some but not all. Usually I say b-friends/g-friends should not be included but being they live together and are together so long then - I would but him in some not to offend.

Re: Family Pictures

I was with my FH for 8 years at the time his brother got married, and I was a little hurt that I was in not one picture. Like I wasn't there. The BP also sat at a dias so I was sitting at the family table with my FIL's . And the kicker, we went to Buffalo for the wedding and we didn't ahve a car, I had to grub a ride form another guest to get the reception after standing around watching people take pictures. I was really upset the whole wedding, so i don't want to make anyone else feel the same way I did, but the main difference is that we are doing pictures before the wedding so he won't have to even be there. We just don't want to start anything.

SHELZP, FH and I are together over 9 years, though I am pratically family I did not think it was appropriate to be in family picutures. I would not take it as a slight, but you never know......

Re: Family Pictures

a coworker of mine told me a story...she had been dating her now H for a year and at a wedding...they took one with her and then said...'do you mind' 'no offense' and everything was fine...

I asked my mom and sister about my sisters boyfriend...and we decided that we would take some of each...he proposed a week after our conversation...
