My wedding is going to be outside in July. Our ceremony is outside but the rest of the wedding is indoor/outdoor. I was thinking that it may be a good idea to provide little hand held paper fans for each guest.
Does anyone think it is worth the money?
Does anyone know a good place to get them cheap. Everywhere I look it is like $1/each (unless you order over 200 then they get cheaper). I can't imagine paying that. I feel like they must be cheaper somewhere.

Re: FANS...
Go for it- if you can get them cheap. After the heat wave we had last week- it may be worth it!

Re: FANS...
We are having the ceremony outside and inside reception.. i am having my little cousin hand out the fans as the guests enter the cermony area... I got my fans at a flea market and they are the same wood fans that are costing over $2 online. i ordered personalized ribbon and attached it the the bottom of the fans as well... they only cost .50 cents each!!

Re: FANS...
I am having fans provided at the church. The church tends to get a little warm during the summer. I got them for 89 cents each on sale at The knot. We have 100 guests at our wedding, so I got 30 fans for the ladies. I figure not everyone will be attending the ceremony anyway. Our ceremony is in Brooklyn and reception in Old Westbury, plus there is a 5 hour gap. After using them at the church; they can use them for the cocktail hour which is outdoors. Our wedding is in 20 days....OMG!!! We got the ribbon to match our colors and added a scalop favor tag to it. The tag has our name and wedding date on them.
Here are the fans with the ribbon (I am using the same color)
You can also see the favor tags, they are the same ones but I also incorporated the apple green in them (lettering)
IMo, I don't think they are worth the money, but everyone is different on what is important or a good idea at a wedding.

Re: FANS...
I gave out fans at my wedding and they were a huge hit! One of my co-workers even sent me a text on our honeymoon that she was using it during a heat wave after the wedding
I bought them in Chinatown for $1 since w/ shipping most of the ones online will end up costing about that anyway plus I was able to have them individually boxed in green boxes that matched my colors
One hint to save $$, don't buy enough for everyone...men think their too tough to take them

Re: FANS...
Hi I bought the exact fans that Brooklynbride showed for .79 cents at the Weddingstore. I just got them, there super cute and perfect for my outdoor wedding. I think i will have the yonger kids hand one out with the program booklet. The weddingstore always has sales and additional discounts, but you have MUST ask the rep.
