FH and I attempted doing this a few times. now although it works and you see results right away. especially during the detox portion. By the 3rd or 4th day of detox we felt like we were literally starving ourselves. To eat just fruit and veggies and barely anything else was torture. We tried but failed all like 4 times. I know people who have stuck it out and lost anywhere between 15-20lbs in total and have kept it off. But its really hard. JMO
I've tried it w/ my FH and it's been the best diet ever!!! We both have lost a considerable amount of weight since November and pretty much kept the majority of it off through the holidays. I have been on WW before and still swear by it but if you have the discipline the Fat Smash works even better. I don't eat meat (incl. no poultry...only fish) so the detox/phase 1 isn't too difficult for me because it's not far from how I eat anyway. It also only represents 9 days of the entire program so once you get past that it's smooth sailing from there. It has pretty much molded our way of eating.
I say go for it and try signing up at www.fatsmashforum.com

I tried it and never followed it. it's similar to WW but without the points.

Re: fat smah diet
I followed but fell off cause I lost contact with my buddy and was getting depressed with work. If you have the determination it works wonders. I lost about 20lbs WITHOUT excercising. I would suggest trying it out with someone for the extra motivation. The first nine days which is detox is pretty hard but I believe that sometimes you have to make certain sacrifices in life in order to get the results you want and its only 9 days and eventually you will learn to eat what you want in moderation. You can FM if you'd like for more info. I have the book and I am going to start it again soon. I would recommend it if you are determined and don't cheat yourself. Good Luck!
