I was just reading about this in a mag. Here's the top 5 on the list:

1. 'As time goes by'-JimmyDurante
2. 'Because you Loved me' - Celine Dion
3. 'Butterfly kisses' - Bob Carlisle
4. 'Fly to the moon' - Frank Sinatra
5. 'Have I told you Lately' - Van Morrison or Rod Stewart

I am using Butterfly Kisses. I have always loved that song and it makes me think of my wedding day every time I hear it.

I don't know if I am dancing with my father. We don't always get along and I am not sure how I feel about this. But if I were to dance with him, I think I would also use Butterfly Kisses. Or Phil Collins 'You'll be in my Heart.'

Re: father daughter dance

I am dancing with my dad to 'Daddy's Little Girl.' It's been remade by so many people, but I think I want an old Italian version like Al Martino or Dean Martin. This song has sentimental value to me. When I was little, I would request this song at every party with a DJ, and pick it on every jukebox I could find just to dance with my Dad. I know this will make him feel very special.

Re: father daughter dance

I am using 'Isn't she lovely' by Stevie Wonder. There was no thought at all in choosing a song, I knew this would be it for sentimental reasons - when I was a baby, my dad used to dance around the room with me to this song, my parents said it was the only thing that would make me stop crying.

Something Frank Sinatra. My Dad loves him and so do I and we have lots of happy memories snapping our fingers to him.

I'm considering 'My Little Girl' by Steve Kirwan

but I also like 'You Raise Me Up' My father is a huge Josh Groban fan.

I am using 'tupelo honey' by van morrison....

VAN MORRISON lyrics - 'Tupelo Honey'

You can take all the tea in China
Put it in a big brown bag for me
Sail right around the seven oceans
Drop it straight into the deep blue sea
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
She's an angel of the first degree
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like honey from the bee

You can't stop us on the road to freedom
You can't keep us 'cause our eyes can see
Men with insight, men in granite
Knights in armor bent on chivalry
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
She's an angel of the first degree
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like honey from the bee

You can't stop us on the road to freedom
You can't stop us 'cause our eyes can see
Men with insight, men in granite
Knights in armor intent on chivalry
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
She's an angel of the first degree
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like honey from the bee

You know she's alright
You know she's alright with me
She's alright, she's alright (she's an angel)

You can take all the tea in China
Put it in a big brown bag for me
Sail it right around the seven oceans
Drop it smack dab in the middle of the deep blue sea
Because she's as sweet as tupelo honey
She's an angel of the first degree
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like honey from the bee

She's as sweet as tupelo honey
She's an angel of the first degree
She's as sweet as tupelo honey
Just like the honey, baby, from the bee
She's my baby, you know she's alright.....
