We were at a wedding recently where the groom dance to You Raise Me Up w/ his mother. I teared up , and instantly thought that would be my father/daughter dance.
However, in my research, I've come to see it's very popular for the groom/mother dances, and not really popular for bride/father dances.
Would you still use it?

TY.....I just needed some reassurance that it wouldnt' be weird if we danced to it. I hear the words, and I just think of me and my dad. ...... how could we NOT dance to it!??

i actually sang that song at my friends wedding when she danced with her father. you can definitely do it.

Yes!!!! many brides have used it before...and anyway it's your day if you feel that song in perfect for you and your Dad then use it..you only do this once

My girlfriend used this song when she danced with her father at her wedding. It was beautiful! If thats the song you want to use then definitley use it!
