Father Daughter Dance...

Father Daughter Dance...

My Father passed away in 2005 from leukemia.. I was his youngest daughter out of 5 kids, so we were so close...I literally was Daddy's little Girl. But, I am stumped on how to work him into my wedding. My Mom will be walking me down the aisle, and I will have a vase with his favorite flowers all day with us that will have his name and all that on it. I am also having him mentioned during the ceremony. But, I have heard of people doing dedication songs to people that are no longer with us. I have never seen this done, and I reeeally want to do this, but what will we be doing? I mean, will anyone slow dance...Will everyone be sitting/ I don't know how this works.. Anyone have any idea how I can work this out for the reception? Any ideas will help> Thanks so much.

Both of our father's passed away too. We had a poem written in dedication during the ceremony. It was very hard so I know what you are going through. Why not have a slide show in dedication during the reception. I found this on Youtube, it's sad but sweet..and if you like, you could dance this song with either your mom or even your FH..It was sad for us but we knew they were smiling above..
