Do you guys think it would be tacky to have one dance for both of these? Just wondering?

Haven't heard of this before, but interesting idea. We had our father/daughter and mother/son dance separately as it was our '15 minutes of fame' with our mother/father.
Interesting thought though.

I say why not...I have also seen it where while the mother/son dance the bride grabs the FIL and then during the father daughter groom grabs mil...go for whatevr makes you happy!

Are both parents okay with this? I think as long as they want to do this, then go for it! I would only hesitate if they weren't fond of the idea.

Someone suggested 'I hope you dance' by Lee Ann Womack for me for a Bride / FIL and Groom / MIL dance
Also my friend is using it this weekend for a mother / son dance

We did that too!.....It worked out perfect, and both parents were ok with it. We all danced to 'What a Wondeful World' Honestly from a guest point of view, it is kinda long to watch both dances separatly, so I dont think anyone would think it was wierd at all! JMO

We did it as well, my Dad's not big on the spotlight & Rich thought it was a good idea. I really looked at everything from a guest point of view too. Our photographer took great pics of us dancing. We danced to 'you're my special angel' it's a short, lovely 50's song-it was perfect
