don't know yet....but i might let my dad pick the song...i love dancing with my dad (he twirls me around the entire dance floor) so maybe we might do a waltz type dance to croatian music....i would love it- i think if we dance to a slow song i will cry!!

Hi! I too am thinking about using a traditional spanish song. I just heard it when I was down in Puerto Rico- its called 'Mi Nina Bonita'. It is so cute and just perfect for me and my dad. I was going to use an english song but I didn't think it would be as personable for my dad and me.

Oh for the girls who wanted to use a non english song. I say go for it. My dad wont be dancing with me, but if he was I love Andrea Bocelli's, Vivo Per Lei.

This is such an issue......my dad & I are so ridiculously close & to add to it we are both emotional basket cases lol Well I AM--and my dad knows how to shed a tear or two!!

I love that song---'A Song for My Daughter'
At my cousin's wedding this past October, his wife danced to the most father/daughter song--it is not well known its by like some artist who is just starting out. I was balling like a moron in my dad's arms while she danced with her dad!! I have issues! ANYWAY--I might use Wind Beneath My Wings because I used to play it all the time for him on the piano & he is my hero!!

I agree the song is suppossed to have special meaning to you and your dad--don't worry about what the guests think!

I agree with the others the song is supposed to have meaning to you & your Dad..not your guest!!!! Especially since your Dad means alot to you I would play the song that you want. You get only one special song w/ your Daddy!! Don't back down for anyone!!!! (Take it from someone who won't get the chance to!!!)

marcellabella, did you hear the more modern version of the spanish song 'mi nina bonita' by Julio Angel? I heard he had just redone it within the past couple of years. Just heard it last weekend and it brought tears to my eyes...sooooo cute

I lost both of my parents so I am being given away by someone very close to me, The song that we are dancing to is Landslide, not only does this song have so much meaning, but it was my mom's favorite song, I can remember her singing so vividly..
