Father Daughter/Mother Son Dance

Is anyone doing a joint dance for the mother/son and father/daughter dance?

I kind of like the idea but at the same time I dont want to take that moment away from my dad. Thoughts?

Also, what songs are you using for your:

father/daughter dance?
mother /son dance?
Joint dance?

Never thought about combining... but i agree that i wouldnt want either of our parents to have to share that moment...

I dont know for sure the song for me and dad yet... most likely it will be

Times of your life - Paul Anka

I have no idea what FH would do...

in the first second of reading it I liked the idea but then realized it wouldn´t be good for the reason you mentioned.

Plus in my case I couldn´t. My dad is so cute. He already has picked out (since before my sisters wedding two years ago) what song he wants to dance to with each of us. He wants to be the one to choose it he says. I still don´t know what it is.

I wouldn't take that moment away from my dad and fmil. It would not be fair to either of them.

I was REALLY in favor of doing a joint dance, I think they're boring for people to watch, it would speed up the process and I hate being starred at lol! FH on the other hand really wants to dance with his mom alone, so I guess that's what will happen.

As far as songs that's still way up in the air. I'm considering The Way You Look Tonight or What a Wonderful World. If we were better dancers I'd do Daughter by Loudon Wainwright.
