Father of Groom...tuxedo question...

I need help...

Does the Father of the Groom match the bridal party or does he match his wife, the Mother of the Groom.

I am just afraid that if he matches FMIL, he's just going to throw my whole color scheme off...my FMIL is wearing like a purpely/blue color...

I'm wearing Ivory
FH is wearing Ivory vest, ivory tie, white shirt
GM are wearing Black vest, claret tie, white shirt
BM's are wearing dark red/cranberry

Is this really going to matter if FFIL plans on wearing a tie to match a purpely/blue color???

I put all of the Fathers & Grandfathers in the same tuxedo- black single-breast jacket, black tie (straight) and black vest...

That way they are in a tux and they look classic.. (and they match with anything)

My dad had on black vest/white shirt, black bowtie. He did the same for my brother's wedding. He did not match my mom or the bridal party, but definitely fit in.

FH and I went looking at tuxedos tonight and after stopped by his parents house. While I was in the kitchen, FH and FFIL were in the living room talking...and before I could get out there, FH had already given the OK to FFIL to get whatever color tie he wants to wear for wedding and FFIL said he's going to match FMIL.

I was just like HUH?!?!
