For those that are having your dad or any other male figure walk you down the aisle, here is my question:
Will he match your groomsmen in terms of wearing the same color vest, same style tux etc?

Nope, I don't feel that he should be lumped in with the groomsmen...(**ALERT ALERT** THIS IS NOT AN INSULT TO THE BRIDES WHO ARE HAVING THEIR FATHERS MATCH). He's my Daddy and I want him to stand on his own.

The fathers did not match the GM for our wedding. We had the fathers in black vest/tie and the GM's were in grey.

The father's matched the groomsmen in terms of color, but they wore a different style vest, tie and jacket. GM wore frock coats. Father's wore cutaways with tails.

We decided my father will wear the same jacket as the GMs but he can choose everything else for himself - tie, vest, shoes - whatever he wants!

No, my Dad is going to pick out his own tux. After all, my mom got to pick a dress that she feels beautiful in, so I want the same for my dad. Also, the GM in our wedding are all under 6ft. My dad is 6'4' and is a pretty big guy, so what looks good on the GM may not be comfortable for him. Dads such a cutie, hes actually looking forward to picking his tux out

I gave all 3 dads the option to wear whatever they want. All 3 dads choose to wear black cumberbun(spel?) with bow ties. The ushers are all wearing vests with ties.

My dad will be matching the groomsmen (not the groom), but he will wear a bow tie instead of a long tie.

My father is getting the same tux style and color but his vest and tie will match my mother's dress - so he will stand out a little from the GMs

My dad will not be matching. He will be in a regular tuxedo! Bow tie and all, maybe not cummerbund(sp?) but a vest or something! I like that for the dads! JMO though!
Edited to say: probably same style tux, just black tie, vest, etc.

My dad will be wearing same tux as FH, except vest and tie colors reversed. FH is wearing platinum pinstriped vest w/ grosgrain black long tie. Dad will wear black vest and a platinum tie.
