Father of the Bride Escort. Does she get a corsage???
My latest dilemma is my father will be escorted to the wedding by his girlfriend of 9 years. She obviously isn't my mother nor is she my step mother. My first assumption is I will have him walking into the ceremony with her addressed as 'Escorted by'. Or should she walk in with him at all?
Secondly, again considering their relationship, am I obligated to get her a corsage?
Really torn on this one ladies and could use some advice.

I don't know what the rules are on this, but I would say if you want to make her feel special and involved, to go for it! It certainly couldn't hurt anything!

VPPJZV, yes weddings. lol I'm close with my father but not very close. It's not that I don't like his girlfriend but I'm just not sure how involved I want her to feel. It's definitely not the type of relationship with her and I where I asked her advice on anything wedding related but we get along.
Oh how we brides stress ourselves out!

i ordered a few extra's that are not required for fsil's and fbil's just because they will be with someone in the bp. i look at it like, it's only a flower and it will make them feel special.
it's not a requirement, but it might make your dad happy too.

I agree!! Just get her a flower and it will make her feel like part of your wedding and it shouldn't be that expensive. Have her announced as escorted by the lovely......

I personally feel that everything depends on your relationship with her. If you want her to be noticed, get a corsage, if not... then just put 'escorted by' in the program.

It really depends on how you feel. Of course it is just a flower. But I understand how tough the decision is.
FFIL is 'sorting through his list' trying to pick is date for the wedding. Whoever it is, she will not be getting a corsage, only cause I probably will have no idea who she is...

You don't have to do anything you don't want to. If you are close with her then sure get her a corsage if not then she doesn't need to be announced or have a corsage.
