Im trying to figure out what the best way would be to walk down the aisle with my father and step-father. Ive known my step-father since I was 11 and hes paying for the RH with my mom. My dad isnt putting any money into the wedding because he is having serious financial trouble. I feel like it would only be right if I had both of them walk me down the aisle. At first I thought Id have the both on each arm and have my dad lift my blusher and I kiss him, and then my step-father. But my step-father said he thinks that would be weird so now I was thinking of having my dad walk me all the way down the aisle while my step-father waits by the groom. And then I kiss them both up front. Is this weird??? Advice please...

Re: Father & Step-father
I don't think it would be weird for both of your dads to walk you down the aisle.
It seems that they both have a special place in your heart and this would be a lovely way to honor each of them.
In the Jewish tradition, both parents walk the bride and the groom down the aisle.

Re: Father & Step-father
I know our situations are not the same - but my best friends' father cried harder than mine did when we told him we were engaged (been BFFs with his daughter 20 years this year) - so we've been trying to figure out how to get him involved in the wedding.
I'm going to have him walk my mother in - so she can make an entrance and he can have a part to play. Then - when I walk down the aisle with just my dad - he'll be waiting up front to give a kiss to me as well as my dad.. HTH!!
